Earlier today, I had a close encounter with a large coyote on Amante. It was broad daylight, and the animal didn’t seem the least bit afraid — even after I shouted at it several times. It took a lot of yelling before it finally decided to move.

What happened next was even more surprising — the coyote leapt a 6-foot wall without hesitation and calmly made its way down the slope toward Calliandra.

It was a clear reminder that these animals are not only present in our neighborhood but becoming bolder. Please be extra cautious, especially with pets and small children. Make noise, secure your trash, and avoid leaving food outside.
